You might soon be able to control iPlayer with your mind

BBC thinks the future of TV navigation could lie in your mind. The BBC Is experimenting with a brainwave reading headset that lets you control iPlayer and choose programmes with just your thoughts. The device features two sensors, the first one is on your forehead and the second on your ear, to “read” electrical activity of your brain (as “concentration” or “meditation.”). Depending on your thought you can control the interface of iPlayer, choose the channel and program you want. You can also contol the volume, you just have to “think” until a pink volume bar comes on the left-hand side of your TV. The functionality is very basic but BBC believes the technology can be adapted to assist viewers with disabilities. For now it’s just a prototype , but we might soon be able to control our TV with our brain!
