Samsung Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic pass through the FCC

On September 3, the long rumored Samsung Gear S2, will be announced at IFA in Berlin. New rumors surfaced, suggesting that the device will come in two different flavours, the Gear S2 and the Gear S2 Classic.

The FCC, US regulatory agency, has certified both the Samsung SM-R720 and the SM-R732. This is in-line with earlier leaks suggesting that the former of those will be sold as the Gear S2, while the latter be the Gear S2 Classic.

The rumor also suggest that both wearables will come with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi built-in, but neither will support mobile data connectivity. The Gear S2 is expected to come with a 360×360 AMOLED touchscreen, an Exynos 3472 chipset, 768MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, NFC, as well as a bunch of sensors including a heart rate monitor. The device(s) will be announced by Samsung at the IFA in Berlin on September 3.
