Samsung Galaxy S9: The best features you wish to see in upcoming iPhone

Samsung finally unveiled the highly-anticipated phone, Galaxy S9 following months of rumors and reports. The Samsung Galaxy S9 is not a huge upgrade over the S8, but it marks Samsung’s strong return after the Note 7 fiasco. The Galaxy S9 comes with a lot of exciting features that set it apart from other competitors out there.

With that in mind, we have created a list of five Galaxy S9 features we wish to see in this year’s iPhone models. For some background, the Galaxy S9 is scheduled for public release on March 16, but you now can pre-order the device if you live in the US or Europe.

5 Samsung Galaxy S9 features we expect to see in this year’s iPhone

  1.  Design

The Galaxy S9 does not come with significant design changes, but it’s still one of the best smartphones we have ever seen in recent years. The S9 retains what we have loved since the days of the S8, including a 5, 8 inch QHD+ Infinite Display and bezel-less design.

One of the best things when it comes to the S9’s design lies in the removal of the notch at the top. The notch on the iPhone X received mostly negative reviews from users and tech experts worldwide, even when it occupies a small portion of the screen.

  1. DeX

Last year, Samsung launched DeX, a $149, 99 docking station designed for Samsung’s premium devices. DeX allows Samsung phone owners to use their mobile devices as a desktop computer. All you need to do is to place your Samsung device on the dock connected to your computer and you are good to go.

DeX now includes support for the newly-unveiled Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus, allowing you to use your phone as a trackpad. However, the DeX dock only works with Samsung’s premium phones, like Galaxy S8/S8 Plus, S9/S9 Plus, and Note 8. There is no word on a possible dock made for mid-range devices.

  1. Camera

The S9 is all about the camera, as Samsung puts a lot of new things into its shooters. The Galaxy S9 features Samsung’s dual aperture technology, allowing the camera to automatically adjust the amount of light it can absorb. The Samsung Galaxy S9 includes the ability take amazing photos in low-light conditions with reduced noise levels, mainly thanks to its f/1.5 aperture camera. One of the best features when it comes to the S9’s camera lies in its Motion Detection. As the name suggests that the feature detects automatically movement in the frame and then automatically records a video.

  1. Slow-motion

This year, Samsung retains its slow-motion video capture on its S9, but the South Korean company has upped the frame rate to 960 fps, helping the device stand in line with Sony’s devices. With support of new camera techs, the S9 offers smooth and impressive slow-motion videos. 960fps slow-motion videos can be grabbed at 720 (HD), while 240 fps is recorded at Full HD (1080).

  1. Headphone jack

With the S9, Samsung retains the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack from the S8. Samsung’s move receives a warm welcome from users and tech experts, seeing how Apple removed the headphone jack from its iPhone lineup.
