Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro goes official in China

104Earlier this year, Samsung introduced Galaxy C7 Pro and C9 Pro, the company’s newest additions to the mid-range C Series. However, the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro was nowhere to be found at the launch event. If you are expecting to see the device, today is the day. The Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro has officially gone live for pre-order in Samsung’s Chinese website.

Basically, the new Galaxy C5 Pro looks nearly identical to its sibling, Galaxy C7 Pro, as Samsung has decided to retain the slim triple antenna lines and curved metal body on the device. The Galaxy C5 Pro belongs to a mid-range segment and targets emerging smartphone markets, so we are expecting that Samsung expands its availability to other regions this year.

Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro comes with a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display sporting a resolution of 1080 x 1920 Full HD. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 626 processor along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded by up to 256 GB with a microSD card. The Galaxy C5 Pro features a 16MP rear shooter with an f/1.9 aperture lens and support for a dual-tone LED flash. There is also a 16MP selfies camera on the front, promising to offer impressive selfies even in the low-light conditions.

Speaking of connectivity, the Galaxy C5 Pro offers a full set of connectivity options such as Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, a USB Type-C port and 4G LTE support. Besides, the new handset also features a fingerprint sensor embedded inside the physical home button. The Galaxy C5 Pro only sports a 2600mAh battery, but it includes fast charging support.

Galaxy C5 Pro runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and there is no word about when the device will get Android 7.0 Nougat. The new handset will be priced at $360 in China and users now can pre-order the device from Samsung’s Chinese website.
