Samsung Galaxy A8 shows up in new photos

Samsung’s new A8 has just been been approved by China’s telecom regulator TENAA, and it seems that it will be the thinnest Samsung ever made. The device will be just 5.9mm (0.23 inches) thick and suddenly makes the 6.3mm Galaxy A7 seem bulky.

The new handset will feature a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920 pixels, Android 5.1 Lollipop, and will be powered by an octa-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon 615 processor. The A8 also comes with LTE, a 5 MP front-facing camera, a 16 MP rear camera, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of expandable storage space, and a 3050 mAh battery.

The device that was tested at TENAA and also at FCC only has support for LTE band 41, which means it’s a China model and will not be coming to Europe or US anytime soon. Is unsure when Samsung will officially announce the A8,  but it should happen pretty soon.
