Meet the Pebble Time Round

Are you shocked? We are too! Pebble just unveiled a brand new smartwatch called the Pebble Time Round. The device is the company’s first round smartwatch and it looks very fashionable!

The Pebble Time Round is a new version of the Time smartwatch, which adopts a new circular design and is just 7.5mm thin and 28g in weight. To give you an idea the original Pebble time weights 42.5g is 9.5mm thick. The company claims that the Round is the world’s lightest and thinnest smartwatch.

Similar to the original Time and Time Steel the round packs a colour paper screen that is always on and readable in direct light or the dark thanks to an LED backlight. The wearable connects with both the iPhone and Android devices and give you the ability to display notifications, control music, and more.

Eric Migicovsky, chief executive and co-founder of Pebble said:

“It’s the first smartwatch that looks like a classic wristwatch and furthers our mission to create useful technology that blends into your everyday life, not the other way around.”

The Time Round will be available in three different flavours -black, gold, silver/grey- and with either a 14mm or 20mm band. One big downside of the new smartwatch is its battery life which only lasts 2 days compare to 7 days for the Pebble Time Steel.

It will be available in the US from November costing from $249 (£163), with a UK release coming later this year and Europe in 2016.
