Meet the new Microsoft Band with curved screen

Last year Microsoft launched the first generation Band and it was a bulky bracelet/smartwatch. This year the company decided to go with a new an more attractive design, to add new sensors, app functionality and fitness-tracking features.

The new Microsoft Band has all the feature of the previous generation wearable ( which includes, heart rate monitor, GPS, sleep and calorie tracking etc) plus some new features. The new features include a barometer that can track altitude, gold tracking, the ability to give you figures like the maximum amount of oxygen your body can use during exercise and deeper Cortana integration.The device will also have a new curved display covered in Gorilla Glass 3, and as Microsoft stated the new display is ”optimised for better touch response”.   All the new features make the Band a high-end fitness tracker.

Microsoft also decided to add new smartwatch functionalities to the wearable as well.  The device will have custom apps from Starbucks, Uber, Facebook, Runkeeper and Lose It.

Price and availability? The new Band will be available on October 30th. The new wearable will set you back a reasonable $249 in US and £199 in  UK.
