Step one: First off, open Spotlight Search on your Mac (Cmd + Space) and then search for Terminal (if iTunes is now open, make sure you close it before moving ahead)

Step two: Next up, enter the following command into Terminal: cd /Applications/. This will take you to the Applications folder. Here, enter the following command: sudo rm -rf iTunes.app/ to remove iTunes and its files

Step three: Once you are done, provide your computer’s password and proceed with clicking on Enter. After that, open Finder on your Mac, then click on Go and select Go to Folder from the drop-down menu

Step four: From the pop-up window, enter ~/Music/iTunes/ and then click Go. This will bring up the iTunes folder

Step five: From the right-side bar, click on the file named “iTunes Library.itl” and move it to the Desktop. After that, head back to ~/Music/iTunes/ and click on the folder named “Previous iTunes Libraries” (make sure you copy it)
