In reality, Microsoft has a handy tool that allows you to manage your running apps on your computer, so you first need to download it to your device

Step one: First off, you need to open your web browser and head over to this link at here to download Process Explorer

Step two: Next up, you are supposed to click Download Process Explorer and click Save. Once the download is finished, launch File Explorer and click Downloads

Step three: You now need to right-click Process Explorer and click Extract All

Step four: Right-click the application and click Run as Administrator. After that, click Run from the prompt and click Agree

Step five: Once you are done, you simply need to click the Minimize button to complete the task

Once Process Explorer is running on your computer, the next step is to find your webcam’s name. Here is how you can do that.

Step one: First off, you need to right-click the Start button and Select Device Manager from the list

Step two: Next up, click Imaging Devices and right-click the Camera. After that, you need to click Properties and select the Details tab

Step three: Click Device Description and select Physical Device Object Name from the drop-down menu

Step three: You will see a list of all processes using your webcam. Scroll through the list until you locate the unrecognized process and right-click on it

Step four: Click Properties and you will know which app is using your webcam on Windows. You simply need to select Kill Process and hit OK button to complete the task.
