Here is how to remove Internet Explorer from Windows 10

In Windows 10, Microsoft officially replaces its classic Internet Explorer with Microsoft Edge with more advanced features. Basically, Microsoft Edge is designed to open the modern webpages, but this doesn’t mean that Internet Explorer is completely forgotten and removed from Windows 10.

In reality, Windows 10 includes Internet Explorer 11, which is specifically designed to open older sites including those that use ActiveX. However, if you never come across old websites that fail to load properly in Microsoft Edge, it’s best that you remove Internet Explorer from Windows 10 to make way for other web browsers like Google Chrome or Firefox.

In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to remove Internet Explorer from Windows 10.

Steps to remove Internet Explorer from Windows 10

Step one: First and foremost, you are supposed to open Control Center and click on Programs

Step two: Once you are done, all you need to do is to click Turn Windows feature on or off. After that, you need to check the box next to Internet Explorer 11 option

Step three: Next up, you need to click OK and click Yes to confirm your choice

Step four: You are now supposed to click Restart Now. Once you are done, your PC will reboot to apply the change

Once you have successfully removed Internet Explorer from Windows 10, the web browser will no longer be available on your PC. This means that you cannot find Internet Explorer in Start Menu.

Note that the above-mentioned process won’t remove the files from your computer, meaning that you can easily bring it back to Windows 10. To do this, all you need to do is to repeat the above process and check the box next to Internet Explorer 11.

Internet Explorer is the classic web browser giving you access to some old websites that will not function properly in Edge. We recommend you keep the box checked to make sure that IE is always there
