Google’s ‘Pony Express’ will let you pay bills right from Gmail

Google is reportedly working on a project that will allow Gmail users to pay and receive their bills through their email inbox. According to Recode, the new project is called Pony Express, though that could be an internal code name.

Google will allow you to receive your bills to your Gmail or Inbox (Googles new email app) and from there you will be able to pay the bill using a credit or debit card. The service is also rumoured to allow the users to forward the bill to another person such as parents or to pay a part of it and forward the remaining amount to someone else such as a flatmate.

This will be a fast and more efficient way to pay your bills than paying by mail or visiting a utility provider’s website. However, Google had not made any official mention to the service yet.
