Gear S2 will be available on October 2 in US & Canada

An internal training video from Samsung leaked revealing the official release date of company’s smartwatch the Gear S2.

Shortly after it was published on YouTube the video was deleted – probably it was spotted by Samsung. In the video Samsung executives announced that the Gear S2 will be available in the US from Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile starting Friday, October 2. In the video it was also announced that the cellular model of the wearable won’t be available until a month later on Friday, November 6.

The video did not include any information on pricing, but we already know how much it will cost in Canada thanks to an early pre-order option. The device is set to launch in Canada on the same day as its U.S. launch, and it costs C$400 (about £196) for the standard smartwatch, or C$430 (£211.) for the classic.

Both models will feature a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display with a 360 x 360-pixel resolution,  a dual-core Exynos chip, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, a 250mAh battery, NFC and a water-resistant design.
