Apple Pay now supports HSBC and First Direct in the UK

Apple Pay’ UK launch can be characterised for lack of support from some of the nation’s biggest and more popular banks.  HSBC, First Direct and Barclays were the most notable omissions from the service but today HSBC and First Direct joined the service providing customers the ability to link their debit and credit cards with Apple Pay. If you are an HSBC or First Direct card owner that means you can now start using Apple Pay to pay at UK’s favourites shops such as Starbucks, Nando’s and many more.

Lloyds Bank, meanwhile, has promised to support Apple Pay this autumn, however we are still waiting on dates from other main banks such as Barclays, Halifax, M&S, TSB and Bank of Scotland.
