These files are for devices with multi-CSC OXM, so, they can be used to update your Note 9 from ARL3 (Oreo) to CSA2 (Pie). You can update Android Pie using a microSD card or through ADB sideload method.

  • Also, download and install adb drivers http://adbdriver.com/
  • Next, copy the zip file into C:\adb (or wherever the adb.exe file is)
  • Power your Note 9 off, boot it into recovery mode and choose Apply update from ADB
  • Next, connect it to your Windows computer
  • Wait until your PC installs the necessary drivers, if this is the first time
  • Open command prompt (cmd), head to C:\adb (or wherever the adb.exe and update.zip are)
  • Enter the following command: adb devices
If your device is in ‘sideload’ mode, you can then proceed, otherwise, you are having some troubleshooting to do.
  • Next, enter the following command:

adb sideload update.zip

Wait for the update to complete. Once done, your Note 9 will automatically reboot and you can then enjoy the latest Android Pie update. Since it’s an official update, so this will not trip knox when done.
