Android Pay to debut in ‘the next few weeks’

Android Pay is expected to launch in the next few weeks, according to a teaser inside the Google Waller App.

Android Pay was first announced at Google’s I/O event back in May.  Many millions of users will have the ability to use the service as it will be available to most Android phones with NFC. According to the company, Android Pay will become more useful and easier to use than the existing Google Wallet service.

The notice that appears in the Google Wallet app is:

“In the next few weeks, Wallet’s most popular features will move to 2 simpler apps,”

This comes in line with an earlier leak from Verizon that suggests the payment service will launch in mid-September.

Hopefully, we don’t have to wait long as the service is expected to arrive at Google’s rumored September 29 event together with company’s new Nexus smartphones.
